Towers member, Mr Colbey Elliot, was part of the DSTG Team that won the 2020 DST Achievement Award in the Outstanding Contribution to Defence Outcomes category for their work on Submarine Combat Control Systems Virtualisation. This is very deserving recognition for fantastic work over a long period of time culminating in landmark sea trials this year.  The submarine capability benefits will be immediate and long term.  It’s also a great example of working collaboratively and in a submarine enterprise manner as the success of the Virtual Twin project would not have been possible without the very strong support it has had from SUBFOR and Australian Industry. This will significantly improve efficiency enabling additional mission critical combat system capability. Additionally this research has reaffirmed Australia as a valued partner in the collaborative development program.
